When we hear about ancient myths, megalithic structures, or legendary giants, it’s easy to dismiss them as folklore or fantasy. But what if these stories carry a thread of biblical truth? In episode 148 of The Radiant Mission Podcast, we dive into the world of biblical giants and explore how ancient myths and massive stone structures might point to real, spiritual history.
The Bible is not silent about giants. In fact, Genesis 6:4 speaks of the Nephilim—mighty men of renown who lived before and after the flood. These weren’t just tall humans. They were the unnatural offspring of the “sons of God” and “daughters of men,” and their legacy may be more significant than we’ve been taught.
Were the Nephilim Real?
The Bible describes giants in multiple places. Aside from Genesis 6, we see Goliath—a Philistine champion who stood over nine feet tall (1 Samuel 17:4). But Goliath wasn’t an anomaly. He had brothers. And his people were known for their large stature and fierce warrior culture. Deuteronomy 3:11 even tells us of King Og of Bashan, whose iron bed was over 13 feet long!
Some believe these giants were the result of fallen angels—referred to in Genesis 6 and the Book of Enoch—who bred with human women and created powerful hybrids. Though the Book of Enoch isn’t in our modern Bible canon, it provides additional historical context that aligns with Scripture and elaborates on the events of Genesis 6.
Could Giants Have Built Megaliths?
This question leads us down an incredible path of investigation. Around the world, we find massive stone structures—like the pyramids of Egypt, Stonehenge, and the megalithic platforms in Peru—that modern technology still struggles to explain. Could biblical giants have been involved in constructing them?
Many of these structures contain massive stones weighing hundreds of tons, cut and stacked with surgical precision. Even with today’s machinery, replicating these feats would be nearly impossible. The theory that beings with superhuman strength—like the Nephilim—may have played a role offers a compelling biblical perspective.
Ancient Myths: Rooted in Biblical Reality?
Across cultures, we find myths of half-human, half-animal creatures, gods coming down from the sky, and tales of mighty demigods with supernatural power. While some dismiss these as fantasy, others see them as corrupted memories of true events—biblical events.
Could it be that these stories reflect real history—twisted through time but originally rooted in the biblical account of fallen angels, Nephilim, and divine intervention?

Keep seeking truth. Keep comparing everything to God’s Word. The more we understand Scripture, the more we recognize its fingerprints in history, myth, and even modern-day events.
