Thank you for listening to The Radiant Mission podcast! We are on a mission to encourage and inspire you on your walk with Christ and as you journey through life.

In Episode 39 we discuss Biblical Prophecy with special guest, Jessica Speas. She shares her testimony, how she began eschatology, and the importance of using discernment during these times.

In This Episode on Biblical Prophecy: Using Discernment in a Time of Deception:

Jessica shares her backstory:

  • Her grandmother was well-versed in eschatology
  • Gave her life to Jesus at 16
  • Studied psychology and Biblical studies in college
  • Worked with children and autism and first realized the deception of vaccines
  • Had a back-and-forth relationship with the Lord and became lukewarm in her faith
    • Got into yoga and crystals
    • Claimed the name of Jesus in 2020

Jessica began to study eschatology and decided to put together a timeline of these prophetic events.

She mapped major events like natural disasters, big technology advances, and anything that’s happened with Israel. This revealed very clearly that the past 200 years looks very different than any other time in history.

Looking forward to Jesus coming (and realizing it’s so close) lit a fire in Jessica.

It made her realize she needs to do some kingdom work while she’s here.

The rabbit holes with the modern-day health system, disasters, etc. are a result of the times we are in.

Refocusing and measuring everything to scripture is important. We need to study Biblical prophecy in order to measure what’s going on around us. People aren’t being taught about prophecy like they once were. Our generation doesn’t know what was known for 2,000 years.

The Lord is waking people up. There are watchmen on the wall calling out: this is coming. We need to be spiritually ready.

It’s more than just being physically be ready, we must be spiritually ready.

We may not know the day or the hour, but we do know that it will occur “as The Feast of Trumpets.”

The timing of the feast’s lines up exactly with a woman’s gestation of 40 weeks. From the new moon, the first day to day 14, it’s Passover. Then there is one day—because it only takes one day to conceive. Then Unleavened Bread followed by Firstfruits. It’s then 50 days to the next feast, which is when the baby is forming. This is followed by Pentecost.

There is then a gap of 135 when the body of the baby is taking place. Interestingly, this also represents the body of the church taking place. At the end of this, it’s the Feast of Trumpets. Gestationally, a baby has just finished developing it’s hearing at this point. The next one is the Day of Atonement, this is when the hemoglobin, or blood of the baby, is fully formed.

Feast of the Tabernacles then comes to pass and the baby is now ready to be born. This process is exactly forty weeks.

In Matthew 24 it talks about birth pains and the signs being birth pains. What’s interesting is that in our world now, they have literally been trying to change or numb all of the natural aspects of birth. Each generation is losing what the context “birth pains” actually means.

We’re losing perspective.

We’ve turned our experiences over to the medical system.

Why should mothers use discernment when it comes to Disney?

She grew up near Disneyland in Anaheim and always loved Disney. It took her a long time to even look at anyone’s warnings because it was nostalgic. Her family was very much a Disney family.

When Jessica started studying scripture and prophecy, she realized that Jesus was clearly warning us. He said in these days will be marked with deception, do not be deceived. He said a very strong warning.

She started measuring things up to scripture. She began to recognize themes like “follow your heart,” “follow your dreams,” and “you can do it yourself.” It has nothing to do with scripture and is not something we teach our children. Why would we then let this be a common message in our home?

Making the change was hard. But in the moments of the hard she realized just how much of a deception it was.

An example is “mother nature” in Moana. “Mother nature” is a false goddess, aka Nephilim. It’s actually a part of the climate change lie that “we have to come together to save mother earth.”

This is not a new thing. “Mother nature” is not just the earth, there is a deeper meaning. And we are conditioned. We are taught that we need to do things to make “mother nature” not mad at us.

Another example of how children are conditioned through what they watch is with The Little Mermaid.

Ursula is villainous sea-witch that’s referred to as a Cecaelia (half-woman, half-octopus). She strikes deals with merfolk with the promise of making their dreams come true. But in reality, she uses dark magic. The film implies that she absorbs the souls of others. She casts spells and uses potions.

Why don’t we take the messages in movies like this seriously?

Television is a very new idea. For 6,000 years it was not a thing. In the past 100 years it has become more and more popular.

In Daniel 12:3-4 it says, “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. 4 But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”

Nowhere in history has knowledge abounded like the past 100 years. From cell phones to pagers to computers, technology and knowledge has become unstoppable.

We’re all desensitized because it’s how we’ve been raised.

It’s important as Christians that we use discernment.

Encouraging parents to bring your kids along the journey with you. It’s not about “don’t do this.” But about “I saw this in scripture, let’s talk about it.”

It’s about teaching them how to discern things, not saying “no.”

Studying Biblical prophecy and the Biblical timeline is important!
